Our clients range across services supporting young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, trauma backgrounds, learning disabilities, and those requiring wraparound care to help them feel safe, supported, and stable.
As part of this role, you may also be involved in delivering wraparound support, which focuses on providing consistent, holistic care around the child or young person - supporting them across home, school, community activities, and transitional moments to promote safety, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people in residential settings
- Support young people requiring wraparound care, ensuring consistent emotional and practical support across their daily lives
- Assist with day-to-day routines including personal care, education, activities, therapeutic approaches, and emotional regulation
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment that supports trauma recovery and resilience
- Work collaboratively with permanent staff, social workers, education teams, and other professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with care plans, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies
- Support young people in developing life skills, independence, and healthy, trusting relationships
- Contribute to structured plans that wrap around a young person's needs, ensuring continuity and stability
- Encourage participation in community activities, education, and therapeutic programmes
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in residential childcare or a similar care setting is essential
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and child-centred models of care
- Knowledge or experience of wraparound support approaches is highly advantageous
- Ability to build trusting, professional relationships with young people and staff
- Flexible, reliable, and confident in adapting to new services and environments
- SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) & HNC in Social Services, or equivalent, is desirable

- Competitive hourly pay - PAYE or Umbrella
- Flexibility to choose shifts that fit your lifestyle
- Opportunities for longer-term block bookings with consistent clients
- Support from our friendly, experienced team
- Opportunities to work across multiple services, gaining varied and valuable experience
