We are looking for a proactive and talented Production Technician to join our dynamic team at 21CC Group. This key role will be responsible for the technical preparation, operation, and maintenance of equipment for a wide range of events. As a crucial member of the production team, you will play a key part in ensuring the seamless delivery of technical services, working on-site and off-site across various event types. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of event production, including the installation, operation, and maintenance of audio, lighting, AV, rigging, and special effects equipment. You will work closely with creative and event teams to ensure the technical delivery meets the highest standards, while being proactive in your approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation and installation of technical equipment across a variety of services, including audio, lighting, AV, rigging, and special effects.
- Support with the maintenance, servicing, and testing of technical equipment and cabling, ensuring all tools and resources are in optimal condition.
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure technical requirements are met for specific event installations.
- Attend site visits to assess technical needs and support planning for smooth event delivery.
- Work on-site to assist with rigging and de-rigging, ensuring smooth and timely event setup and breakdown.
- Operate technical equipment during events, providing support to the event management team.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during events, ensuring prompt resolutions to meet tight deadlines.
- Assist with post-event evaluations to improve processes and identify areas for future technical development.
- Collaborate with other team members, suppliers, and contractors to ensure all technical services are delivered to a high standard.
- Assist in training junior staff or freelancers on technical equipment and operational processes.
- Support team members with tasks outside of your core expertise, contributing to overall team success.
- Follow health and safety protocols during all stages of event delivery, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Contribute to the preparation of risk assessments and method statements for events and technical services.
- Prepare and maintain technical equipment, ensuring it is ready for use and meets safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and properly stored.
- Strong background in technical event production, including audio, lighting, AV, and rigging.
- Experience in the maintenance and servicing of event production equipment.
- Familiarity with working on-site and in fast-paced, live event environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to deliver high-quality technical services.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- A full UK driving license is essential.

This is a permanent, full-time position working primarily in 21CC Group with support across our other associated companies. 31 days of holiday per year (including bank holidays) – 5 allocated by the company. Company pension scheme. Access to ongoing training, development opportunities and industry events. Weekend and evening work is required during events.
Salary:Base salary: £26k - £32k based on a 40-hour working week. Annual salary reviews.
