Job Description

  • Provide efficient service for guest registration and departure; maintain accurate guest accounts and provide helpful information.
  • Attend to all incoming calls via the switchboard professionally, striving to provide Total Customer Satisfaction.
  • Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety.
  • Handle credit and cash transactions securely, and ensure confidentiality/privacy of guest information.
  • Maintain communication channels between hotel guests and all departments, verbally and in writing as required.
  • Operate the switchboard effectively, handling calls promptly and professionally, greeting callers according to policy, and transferring calls efficiently.
  • Document all internal and guest messages accurately and distribute them according to hotel procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate internal phone list for call transfers and record charges for international and operator-assisted calls.
  • Assist in screening calls for reservations, providing accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Promote hotel facilities and maximize sales through sound product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Attend to other duties as requested by management and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Some experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
