We are seeking an ambitious Account Handler to join our dynamic team in Leeds, working with our SME clients. This full‑time, permanent role involves 3 days a week at our Leeds office.
Responsibilities
- Regularly monitor renewals and new business activity to aid effective planning and resourcing.
- Review client documentation to ensure comprehensive and accurate information is presented for the quoting process.
- Collate and communicate client requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of the risk.
- Process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support client service and internal processes.
- Prepare presentations for executives.
- Take calls and queries from customers and insurers.
- Process MTAs, credit control and collect debt.
- Process business compliantly.
- Deal with or refer client enquiries, renewals and mid‑term adjustments.
- Become a key referral point for the team through strong technical knowledge.
Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial insurance.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Acturis system is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Qualifications
- GCSE Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
- A levels (desirable).
- CCIA‑CII (desirable).
