We are seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our clients busy team. Covering the West Midlands, the successful Risk Assessor will play a key role in helping clients meet compliance requirements and maintain safe water systems. The successful candidate will conduct risk assessments, surveys and inspections, providing expert advice and practical solutions to reduce the risk of Legionella bacteria.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out Legionella risk assessments across a variety of sites (commercial, industrial, residential)
- Inspect and assess hot and cold water systems, cooling towers and other water-related assets
- Produce detailed written reports outlining findings, risks and recommendations
- Conduct temperature monitoring, water sampling and site surveys
- Advise clients on remedial actions, control measures, and compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines
- Liaise with clients and site staff to ensure clear communication of risks and solutions
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards
- Support the wider compliance team with audits, training and consultancy as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor or in a water hygiene/compliance role
- Strong knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, and relevant health & safety legislation
- Legionella Risk Assessment training/certification
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service
Working hours:
Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
