Our client is a specialist contractor working across commercial and residential sites, installing and maintaining fire doors to the highest safety standards. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Carpenter with proven fire door installation experience. This is a secure, long-term PAYE position with a reputable and well-established company. The role will predominantly cover the West Midlands area with occasional further travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new fire doors and fire door sets to required specifications
- Carry out fire door maintenance, repairs and replacements to BM TRADA Accepted Repair Techniques standards
- Ensure all work meets current fire safety regulations and certification standards
- Work across various commercial and residential sites
- Complete all documentation accurately, including installation records and compliance forms
- Liaise with site managers, clients and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and site safety at all times
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience installing and maintaining fire doors (essential)
- Strong carpentry background with excellent attention to detail
- Level 3 NVQ
- Gold CSCS Card (highly desirable)
- SSSTS (advantageous)
- Good understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence essential
Hours & Benefits:
- Monday - Friday, 08:00–17:00 (some flexibility may be required)
