The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We're actively recruiting for an experienced Technical Estimator to join our clients team based in Walsall. Our client is a well established company operating within the fastener and machined components markets.
PLEASE NOTE - previous experience within API compliant fastenings is essential. This office based role will be responsible for ensuring customer enquiries are accurately costed, ensuring client needs are met and margins are maintained.
Duties include:
- Working closely with sales colleagues to manage incoming enquiries
- Generate cost build ups using your in-depth knowledge of materials, manufacturing and testing
- Interpret technical drawings and provide advice to customers as required
- Create and develop excellent supplier relationships
- Stay ahead of market trends i.e. availability of main material grades etc
- Take a continual improvement approach in all areas
Experience/Skills required:
- Previous experience in estimating API fasteners essential
- An excellent knowledge of manufacturing & testing processes
- The ability to build rapport quickly with customers and suppliers alike
- Excellent communication abilities
Working hours:
- Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00
- Friday 08:00-16:00
