We're pleased to be recruiting for a CNC Operator to join our clients established manufacturing team based near Brownhills. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, well-respected business producing high-quality components.
The role: You’ll be responsible for operating CNC machinery, carrying out adjustments and ensuring components meet specification through accurate measurement and documentation.
Key responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC machines safely and efficiently
- Change offsets, inserts and carry out basic machine maintenance
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Use a range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, ring gauges, plug gauges, shadow graph and height gauges
- Complete all required paperwork such as Work Orders and quality control charts
- Conduct in-process quality checks and record results
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery
- Confident with offsets, tooling changes and routine maintenance
- Strong understanding of measurement and inspection tools
- Competent with production paperwork and quality documentation
- Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
- Reliable, team-focused attitude
