20Twenty Search are retained with a leading Reinsurance, ILS & Capital Markets platform on a key legal hire, working directly alongside the Chief Legal Officer.
This is not a traditional in-house counsel role.
It sits at the intersection of:
- Reinsurance structuring
- Fund and investor dynamics
- Product development
- Corporate and regulatory advisory
The environment is fast-paced, commercially driven and highly collaborative. The expectation is not just to advise, but to translate complex legal and regulatory considerations into practical, business-oriented outcomes.
The Role
You will operate as a core legal partner to the business, supporting:
- Structuring and execution of ILS transactions
- Fund and investor-related matters
- Reinsurance and risk transfer frameworks
- Corporate governance and regulatory engagement
- Ongoing product development initiatives
The role offers broad exposure across the full lifecycle of an ILS platform, from structuring through to capital deployment.
What We’re Looking For
We are open on background, but the successful individual will typically demonstrate:
- Multiple years’ experience within a top-tier law firm and/or in-house environment
- Exposure to reinsurance, funds, structured finance or broader financial services
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to operate close to the business
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and pragmatically
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment
