20Twenty Search is retained by a global (re)insurance business which is seeking to hire a Group Financial Controller for its Lloyd's platform. This is a high-profile role offering significant exposure to executive leadership, strategic decision-making, and the continued evolution of a sophisticated finance function.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading financial reporting, control, consolidation, planning, and business partnering activities across the organisation. Working closely with the CFO and executive leadership team, you will provide meaningful financial insight that supports business growth, operational performance, and strategic decision-making. You will oversee group reporting and consolidation processes, drive improvements in financial controls and governance, manage complex inter-company structures, and lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis initiatives.
A key part of the role will involve helping modernise and transform the finance function. The organisation is looking for someone who embraces change, leverages technology and data to improve decision-making, and can lead finance teams through periods of growth and evolution. You will also oversee external audit relationships, support regulatory and compliance requirements, and work closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
We are interested in speaking with qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) who possess a strong track record within financial control, group reporting, or corporate finance environments. Candidates may come from the Lloyd’s and London Market, wider insurance or reinsurance sectors, asset management, alternative investment firms, hedge funds, or other complex financial services organisations. Experience operating within multi-entity, international, or regulated environments will be particularly valuable.
