Contract: Minimum 1 year
After a remarkably successful start to 2026, a principal contractor continues to set the pace in winning interesting and varied projects. They wish to appoint a Freelance Design Manager for a super prime residential £65M project.
This role will suit if you have between 10 - 15 years Design Management experience with a principal contractor on large residential or super prime schemes.
Joining an existing project team, you will manage packages and the flow of design information to allow the project to meet important deadlines, which is due for completion in June 2027.
Also, you will have the following duties:
- Liaising with the construction team to manage the design and development process
- Manage the design process to ensure compliance with programme and procedures
- Ratify the design/value engineering
- Arranging and managing statutory authorities
- Co-ordinate work packages
- Attend and sometimes chair regular design co-ordination meetings
- Receive, filter and distribute design information
