A well‑established Central London refurbishment contractor is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Intermediate or recently stepped‑up Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

Role

  • Running 2–3 refurbishment projects at a time initially, increasing once settled
  • Residential‑led refurbishments with mixed‑use and commercial elements
  • Project values typically £100k–£500k
  • Regular interaction with Tier 1 & Tier 2 corporate landlords and Tier 1–3 building surveying practices
  • Preparing estimates, pricing variations, managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts
  • Tracking costs, forecasting cashflow, and producing clear commercial reporting
  • Working under JCT contracts (Minor, Intermediate, D&B exposure helpful)
  • Office‑based initially, moving to hybrid working after probation (3 months)

  • Experienced Intermediate QS or recent Senior QS
  • Background in refurbishment works essential
  • Confident, professional, and comfortable in client‑facing meetings
  • A strong negotiator — commercially astute with both clients and subcontractors
  • Technically capable and confident working from drawings and schedules of works
  • Calm under pressure, organised, and proactive
  • Heritage experience beneficial (around 2 in 5 projects), but not essential
