We're partnering with a technical building services contractor delivering mechanical and electrical upgrades, systems improvements, lifecycle replacements and project support across healthcare, hospitality, commercial offices, education and industrial environments. They're growing fast, tightening processes, improving reporting and getting more corporate â but not too corporate. Think: still practical, still straightforward, but with fewer spreadsheets that ask you for Macros Enabled? every 10 minutes. They're financially robust, growing rapidly, and bringing more structure inâyet they've managed to preserve that handsâon, let's just get it done mentality. They're moving toward a more corporate framework, but without the bureaucracy: no 14-step approvals, decisions happen fast, and they retain their grassroots, practical ethosâtrue to their M&E roots.
They're now searching for a Head of Projects to own a ÂŁ3m division: delivering work, leading clients, and winning new opportunities. Not in a cheesy salesây way. In a client's trust me because I actually know what I'm talking about way â and boy will you be rewarded for it!
What you'll do:
- Lead a ÂŁ3m project portfolio across multiple sectors
- Manage delivery through site managers (you will not personally be fitting actuators at 6am... unless you miss it)
- Build and strengthen client relationships, winning work through expertise and common sense
- Drive forecasting, commercial decisions and reporting
- Help improve internal processes as the business scales
- Support the shift from cradleâtoâgrave PMing to a more accountâled model
You'll fit if you:
- Have PM (with the ability to step up) or HoP experience in M&E or building services
- Can run ÂŁ2mâÂŁ5m workstreams without needing a daily pep talk
- Are commercially sharp and comfortable winning work by being competent, not pushy
- Have onâsite credibility â respected by installers and FM managers alike
- Are ambitious, resilient and allergic to corporate fluff
