An established and steadily expanding main contractor in Surrey is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, sports, residential, ecclesiastical and education sectors. Working from their Surbiton office, you will manage up to three live projects at any one time, taking full ownership of procurement, commercial reporting and cost control from award through to final account. Projects typically range from £1m to £8m, delivered under both Traditional and Design & Build contracts.
The Role
- Manage procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages across new build, refurbishment and fit‐out schemes
- Assist in tendering and budgeting, including cost planning and supporting bid preparation
- Prepare tender enquiries, analyze returns and place clear, robust subcontract orders
- Produce cash‐flow forecasts, monthly valuations and CVRs for director review
- Administer subcontract accounts, variations and change management through to final account
- Provide timely cost advice, remeasure works as required and maintain accurate commercial records
- Work closely with Contract Managers to support programme, design and delivery decisions
- Lead commercial reporting and ensure full contractual compliance on assigned projects

- Good communication skills, well presented and able to represent the business professionally
- Stable career history and the desire to progress within a growing contractor
- Ideally based within 1 hour of Surbiton
