An exciting opportunity exists within Virgin Money’s well established and fast-growing Asset Finance business. We support SME and mid-market businesses across the UK with our suite of Asset Finance products. Our customers range from small and complex high-growth businesses, through larger SMEs to those that have already grown to become the backbone of the UK economy. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small and friendly team performing a core function at the heart of our business and gain Asset Finance Hire Purchase and Lease product knowledge and transactional experience within a specialist area.
What you’ll be doing
- Specialising in the provision of support to the sales teams and support the existing team framework by checking and progressing new business proposals and facilitating payout to suppliers within a delegated authority.
- Ensuring all policies and procedures have been followed and all work is completed to a high standard.
- Certify any omissions from policy and process are identified and liaise with the salesperson to resolve the issues within the SLAs.
- Performing transactional changes to proposals and live agreements, complex data input for HP and Lease agreements, checking data uploads and general administration tasks within the New Business function of the Asset Finance Business Support team.
- Contributing to the planning and organising of regular work duties, daily allocation of work, report management and control duties to ensure all functions are complete.
- The role will also provide opportunity to gain additional knowledge and skills by participating in cross-skilling across the wider team.
- Working collaboratively with the wider AF team to ensure innovations/changes are effectively delivered.
We need you to have
- Strong administrative skills and be highly organised to work meet tight deadlines.
- Superb communication and negotiation skills to liaise with our Salespeople to ensure we meet the customers’ expectations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge, to resolve complex issues and errors, engage with relevant stakeholders to find solutions which balance customer experience v business risk.
- A proven track record of working under pressure in a high volume / fast paced environment whilst delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of supplier invoicing requirements and cross reference with the legal/policy requirements before approving the release of payments to Finance.
- Experience in operational functions and environments where SLAs are required to be met and operational process compliance is a necessity.
- A proactive, dynamic, flexible approach and provide an efficient and accurate service to ensure that daily workflow is completed.
- The ability to learn fast, learn new products, new systems, new processes and reach a competency level within set targets.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential:
- Knowledge of Asset Finance
- Intermediary competency in Microsoft packages i.e. Word, Excel, Foxit, Access
- Knowledge of Business Banking RM/Credit structure.
