Our Team
We have an exciting opportunity to join Business Direct's Agri Sector Relationships team to support Agribusiness customers across the UK. If you have a passion for Agriculture or a strong desire to learn and are keen to develop nurturing relationships, then this might just be the role for you.
Every day you'll get to provide a top-class service to a portfolio of Agri customers, working with them and their supporting professionals to establish their needs and thinking creatively about how you can deliver for them. You'll be working closely with a fantastic team to make sure we achieve our goals as well as getting to develop your skills further on the more complex cases.
What you'll be doing:
- Ensure that you're delivering a simply brilliant experience for customers
- Management of Risk Exposure within portfolio - managing repayment and risk exposures and focusing on growing our Business.
- Contribute to the team's financial performance and achievement of its overall business objectives
- Preparing credit applications to support customer requests – analysing financial information and working closely with Credit to achieve desired outcomes
- Management of Risk Exposure within a portfolio
- Solve complex queries in a timely fashion
- Ensure excellent attention to detail and care in data quality, and lending risk measurements
- Develop strong relationships with new customers through focused conversations
- Liaising with professionals (solicitors/accountants/valuers) to achieve the customers' requirements and build relationships for future business opportunities
- Deliver a strong focus on customer retention
We need you to have:
- Knowledge of the UK Agriculture sector including key market opportunities and challenges
- Experience of managing a demanding portfolio of clients
- A track record of generating business growth, identifying, structuring, negotiating and delivering business opportunities
- Proven ability to perform under pressure, consistently meeting tight deadlines with resilience and initiative
- Understanding of Agriculture Financial Statements and regulations
- Relationship building experience including managing challenging conversations
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- A real eye for detail with plenty of experience of delivering workloads to tight timescales
- Ability to plan ahead and manage your workload efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of risk and compliance requirements in line with the role
- Ability to work at pace and manage multiple requests whilst maintaining and delivering a first-class service to colleagues and customers
It's a bonus if you have but not essential:
- Experience of Business Banking, including a good knowledge of our business products & services
- Have completed Moody's (Commercial Lending) and have the ability to understand and interpret financial statements
- A sound knowledge of Vulnerable Customer requirements with an ability to identify financial difficulty
