Our Credit Risk team plays a pivotal role in shaping our lending policies and standards as well as driving insight into the performance of our lending portfolios. We\’re looking for an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join our team and help us continue to meet customer needs, lend responsibly and manage the credit risks associated with mortgage lending.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop cutting-edge credit risk strategies that anticipate market trends and ensure our lending remains sustainable.
- Collaborate with our team to explore new data solutions and technologies that drive smarter decision-making.
- Guide and mentor your team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Track and analyse the performance of credit risk portfolios, identifying areas of concern.
- Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and ensure Virgin Money’s credit risk practices adhere to all applicable standards.
We need you to have
- A deep understanding of data analytics, with expertise in SAS (essential), and Python (desirable)
- Strong skills in presenting complex concepts in an engaging and understandable way.
- A genuine desire to understand data, processes, risks and outcomes to drive action.
- Proven track record in identifying and implementing innovative data and technology credit risk solutions for mortgage lending. A drive to explore new approaches and challenge the status quo.
