2020 Recruitment are working with a Fife based global precision engineering business who are looking to appoint a Key Account Manager to support the delivery of high-value Defence contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong project management experience who enjoys working closely with clients and driving projects through from start to finish.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of projects from initial engagement through to final delivery, acting as the main point of contact for the client throughout the lifecycle. This is a fast-paced, client-facing role where you’ll be working closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from award through to completion
- Act as the main client interface, handling all communication and queries
- Work closely with planning, procurement and operations to meet delivery targets
- Monitor project performance, risks and opportunities
- Support tendering, contract variations and scope changes
- Ensure all documentation and reporting is accurate and up to date
- Drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management (ideally Defence or Oil & Gas)
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK
Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments would be highly beneficial, but strong project management fundamentals are key.
