Due to continued growth and increasing demand, our client is expanding their team of Mobile Plant Engineers to provide service and maintenance support across a large area of Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a varied role with a reputable employer, where no two days are the same. The Role As the Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be covering various areas and sites across Scotland providing diagnostic and repair to various plant machinery such as Excavators, Dumpers and Telehandlers. Duties & Responsibilities As the Mobile Plant Engineer your duties will include: * Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of mobile plant and agricultural equipment. * Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment, including Jaltest and Texa. * Attend customer sites throughout Scotland to carry out planned maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs. * Complete inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime. * Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes and running gear. * Diagnose and repair faults on 12V and 24V electrical systems. * Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and service information. * Carry out welding and light fabrication work where required. * Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. * Complete job sheets and service reports accurately and in a timely manner. * Maintain the company service vehicle, tools and equipment in a clean and roadworthy condition. * Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with customers on site. Requirements To be considered for the Mobile Plant Engineer you must have the following experience: * Experience with Jaltest/Texa diagnostic equipment * A good understanding of 12v and 24v electrical systems * Minimum 5 years’ experience working on plant and equipment (HGV or Car Mechanics will not be considered) * Reliable, honest and all-round good guy * Hold a driver's licence * Provide high level of customer service * Must have own tools * Right to work in the UK and living within a commutable distance of Fife is essential Package As the Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be offered the following: * Salary of up to £40k * Permanent Contract * Overtime * Health & Wellbeing Benefits * Various Discounts & Rewards at retailers * Company events and activities * Birthday Vouchers * Career progression opportunities Apply To apply for this position or to learn more about the role please contact Robert at 2020 Recruitment
