Research Manager, EMEA (Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months)

This role leads, manages, and delivers consumer insight projects across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) EMEA & UK, supporting Brand & Franchise Marketing teams to develop audience‑led strategies and shape One Disney brand initiatives.

The Research Manager will work from our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with one work‑from‑home day.

About the Role & Team

The role requires a strategic mindset to drive sustainable audience growth, deepen fan engagement, and provide an EMEA perspective on multiple data sources, including TWDC audience, brand, franchise data, Disney+ Looker, revenue, social sentiment, Brand Equity studies, Consumer Spend, and Franchise Financials.

It demands excellent communication, analytical skills, strong project management, and cross‑team collaboration.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver actionable and strategic insights, supporting strategic planning and drawing conclusions from large volumes of data.
  • Lead day‑to‑day management of complex multi‑market quantitative tracking and ad‑hoc studies, overseeing design, quality, and debriefs.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and recommend research initiatives to meet business needs.
  • Build deep knowledge of priority audiences, especially Gen Alpha, creating narrative‑led, visual Power Point decks that inform holistic audience plans.
  • Manage commercial and ad‑hoc insight requests, providing compelling arguments and proof points to support partner relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with enterprise‐wide marketing teams and global Brand Insights & Analytics to disseminate insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Coach and develop junior talent, fostering high performance.
  • Support the Senior Manager on strategic projects, including agency briefs, research commissioning, and stakeholder debrief materials.
  • Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience with analytical and market research techniques, particularly quantitative tracking and complex multi‑market studies.
  • Practical knowledge of research and analytics tools such as Survey Reporter, SPSS, GWI, TGI, Q, and Qualtrics.
  • Strong ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations and compelling narratives.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and research capability with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong Power Point and Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Robust project management experience and effective workload management.
  • Team coaching and development ability, including motivating junior members.
  • Confidence in presenting strategic, insight‑led narratives to senior stakeholders.
