We're currently seeking a talented and driven Conference & Events Sales Manager to join our vibrant team. This exciting role will be central to our growth strategy, responsible for driving revenue, and expanding our market reach.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the corporate, conference, and leisure sectors.
- Drive event bookings including corporate functions, private celebrations, and bespoke events.
- Meet and exceed sales targets across rooms, event spaces, and food & beverage offerings.
- Follow up on inbound enquiries and proactively engage prospective clients through outbound calls and emails.
- Conduct site tours and promotional visits with prospective clients.
- Manage and support the sales team to achieve collective goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Negotiate contracts with clients to secure bookings.
- Monitor and report on event hire sales on a monthly basis to the GM, identifying areas for growth.
- Maintain accurate records of all bookings, contracts, and sales correspondence.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Dept & GM to ensure timely invoicing and payments.
- Liaise with internal teams (operations, catering, technical staff) to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales role, ideally within the conference/events or hospitality industry.
- Strong commercial awareness with a proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Solid understanding of CRM systems and database management.
