An upcoming project includes the conservation and digitisation of collections held by the Surrey History Centre. The first stage of this major project will be the preparation and digitisation of the original documents. This is an on-site role based at 130 Goldsworth Rd, Woking GU21 6ND. This is a fixed-term contract that is expected to last 6 months.
What you will do:
- You will complete training which includes document handling and preparation.
- You will operate and maintain equipment.
- You will quality assure resulting images.
- You will be accountable for the quality and throughput of your work.

Desirable:
- Previous experience of similar project work.
- General knowledge and appreciation of history/genealogy.
- General knowledge of paper conservation.
- General knowledge of photography.
Contract: Fixed-term contract (Project expected to last 6 months)
Rate: £13.50/Hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week excluding meal breaks.
