Due to significant growth within our division, we are expanding our Process Team and have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Process Technologist to join our site in Willand.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and fast-paced development team at a time of significant growth. Working alongside another Process Technologist and reporting into the Head of Technical, you will play a key role in delivering new product launches across our expanding categories. You’ll lead trials, manage paperwork, liaise with Ops, Tech, and Planning teams, and support the other technologist. It’s a fast-paced environment with lots of moving parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product development projects from concept through to successful factory launch
- Review product briefs and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customer requirements
- Assess raw materials and ingredients, ensuring suitability for production and product specifications
- Complete and review ingredient, allergen and labelling documentation
- Analyse microbiological data and provide recommendations where required
- Support the implementation of new equipment and machinery within the production environment
About You
We are looking for an experienced Process Technologist who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will have a strong technical understanding of short shelf-life products and be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. You are confident working cross-functionally, enjoy problem-solving on the factory floor and have the ability to challenge processes and specifications to achieve the best possible outcomes. Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership and delivering products successfully from concept to launch.
Key Skills
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a Process Technologist or similar food manufacturing role
- Experience managing products from concept through to launch
- Strong understanding of short shelf-life food manufacturing
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple concurrent projects
- Confidence challenging specifications, processes and manufacturing methods where appropriate
- Experience supporting factory trials and production scale-up activities
