We currently have permanent opportunities for a Classroom Trainer to join our Technical teams in

Willand, Devon.

  • This post is working days.
  • The hours of work are: 09:00am - 18:00pm.
  • The shift pattern is: Monday - Friday.
  • The rate of pay is £14.31 per hour.

Main Responsibilities

Your main tasks as a Classroom Trainer will be to

  • Deliver soft landing inductions in Food safety and Health & Safety to all new starters.
  • Deliver 3 yearly refreshers on Food Safety and Health & Safety to keep the site compliant.
  • Train out yearly refreshers from group.
  • Deliver yearly Toolbox talks.

Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.

In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.

You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e. g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat.

You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line.

This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue.

You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets.

Ideal Candidate

As an Classroom Trainer, you will have a passion for delivering high standards within your job role. You will be prepared to learn and work well in a busy, fast paced environment.

  • Attention to detail
  • Adaptable to change
  • Good spoken/written English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Train the trainer, Level 3 food Safety. However, both can be achieved in Training.
