We have a number of opportunities available in our factory in Willand, which has been continually processing for over 100 years. The rate for the Chicken breast processing role is £13.11 ph. The hours of work for this position will be Monday - Friday, 05:30am - 14:30pm with an early finish on Tuesday of 13:30pm. This will give you every weekend off. There are other shift patterns and rates of pay, so please contact us for more information.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process and pack raw chicken breasts
  • Ensure packaging and weight are to customer specifications
  • Have high standards in Food Safety and Health and Safety
  • Work with a multi-cultural team of enthusiastic employees

Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process. In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications. You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions/products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat. You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets.
