Job Description
Your job as aButcheris to make sure the chicken breast is cut according to our quality standards. You will be on a production line, working within a chilled factory environment, handling raw meat. The role requires you to work at a fast pace with excellent attention to detail.
Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.
In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.
You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat
You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets
Qualifications
As aButcher, you will have a passion for delivering high standards whilst making sure our H&S, Food Safety and Quality standards are met. You will be prepared to learn and work well in a busy, fast paced environment.
Ideally you will have previous experience working as a cutter, trimmer or butcher so that you have the technical skills required for the position.
