We currently have exciting opportunities for Site Trainers to join the team in West Bromwich - Amber Site B.
The hours of work and shift patterns are: 36.25 hours - Monday - Friday - 10am - 6pm. The rates of pay are: £13.93.
Main Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all non-salaried employees and agency workers have the skills required for them to meet hygiene & production standards through comprehensive induction training, monitoring & evaluation and refresher training as required.
- To ensure compliance with statutory obligations, customer requirements & company policies are maintained at all times.
- Maintain accurate & up to date training records for every non-salaried employee that meet customer & legislative requirements.
- Deliver a comprehensive 2SFG standard induction to all new starters at Site B within their working environment in order for them to meet and maintain standards required by 2SFG & our customers.
- Ensure that all non-salaried employees follow all required procedures & all relevant training documentation is correctly controlled and maintained to the 2SFG standards required.
- Continuously review & develop operators in order to ensure that they maintain acceptable standards of performance, attendance & behaviour and improve their performance against standards & targets, ensuring they are equipped to deliver against all expectations.
- Ensure that the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and to actively promote hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any unsafe working practice & taking appropriate action to remedy.
- Achieve planned production throughput to specification.
- Work closely with operations team leaders and other departments as necessary to ensure that correct procedures are adhered to and re-train and/or support to ensure full understanding as required.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of their roles/accountabilities, that training is provided to meet these and that 2SFG employment & communication policies are complied with.
- Effectively manage the working time of the operational trainers to ensure on the job training is effectively delivered and KPI’s met for competency assessments.
- Manage all documentation relating to training in an organized manner.
- Communicate, liaise & elevate issues with the L&D Coordinator, HR Manager, colleagues and other departments where necessary.
- Ensure that the site achieves and maintains the targeted level of accreditation through customer/legal auditing processes.
- Deputise for the L&D Coordinator in their absence.
- Undertake other tasks relating to effective operation and continual improvement that may be required.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Food Safety.
- Level 3 HACCP.
- IOSH.
- Minimum L3 L&D Practitioner is highly desirable.
- Train the trainer or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in an L&D role.
- Ideally experience of working in a similar training function in a Food Manufacturing environment.
- Working with people from differing backgrounds.
- Knowledge of how to present training sessions.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, able to influence at all levels.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Good IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate professionally at all levels from customers and auditors to factory colleagues and company management.
- Able to prioritise & organise own workload and work to time deadlines.
- Self-motivated and highly resilient.
- Ability to problem solve and influence in a fast-paced environment with sometimes conflicting priorities.
