Overview
We are recruiting for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to provide maintenance of the water treatment plant, located in Flixton/Bungay.
This role works 12 hours per day (6am‑6pm) on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the treatment plant systems.
- Maintain and operate filtering and chemical treatment processes.
- Inspect, assist, service, and repair components of the water treatment plant, including water intakes, pipes, and water storage vessels.
- Assist engineers in preparation of work orders for servicing.
- Assist engineers in arranging major repairs.
- Inspect the treatment plant systems daily to ensure effective operations.
- Keep daily records related to the WTP and ensure records are maintained and updated as required.
- Read water meters around the factory.
- Maintain the boiler and Cl O2 system.
- Report to the engineering manager.
Qualifications
- Team player.
- Hardworking and able to work on own initiative.
- Experience within a similar role desirable.
- Knowledge of quality control and H&S standards within a manufacturing setting.
- Technically abled.
