Overview

We are recruiting for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to provide maintenance of the water treatment plant, located in Flixton/Bungay.

This role works 12 hours per day (6am‑6pm) on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the treatment plant systems.
  • Maintain and operate filtering and chemical treatment processes.
  • Inspect, assist, service, and repair components of the water treatment plant, including water intakes, pipes, and water storage vessels.
  • Assist engineers in preparation of work orders for servicing.
  • Assist engineers in arranging major repairs.
  • Inspect the treatment plant systems daily to ensure effective operations.
  • Keep daily records related to the WTP and ensure records are maintained and updated as required.
  • Read water meters around the factory.
  • Maintain the boiler and Cl O2 system.
  • Report to the engineering manager.

  • Team player.
  • Hardworking and able to work on own initiative.
  • Experience within a similar role desirable.
  • Knowledge of quality control and H&S standards within a manufacturing setting.
  • Technically abled.
