About the Role

As a Production Engineer, you'll play a critical role in maintaining seamless production by responding swiftly to breakdowns, reducing downtime, and ensuring reliability through planned maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Conduct planned maintenance to improve equipment reliability
  • Support in commissioning new equipment and upgrading existing machinery
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety requirements
  • Hands‑on involvement, suited to those who excel in dynamic, fast‑paced settings

About You

This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong engineering background in industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably within food production.

Key Skills

  • Strong Mechanical or Electrical skills
  • Experience in food production is ideal but not essential
  • Hands‑on experience with minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualification
  • Experience in a planned and reactive maintenance

Working Hours

  • Seven‑day fortnight: Work 7 out of 14 days, with alternating weeks of days and nights shifts
  • 12‑hour shifts (7 am – 7 pm)
  • 23.5 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
