We currently have exciting opportunities for Trainee Machine Minder\βs to join our team in Thetford.
Our trainee positions are designed for those looking to progress into a skilled role and build on previously gained factory / manufacturing experience or similar / transferable skillsets.
It provides a dedicated 8 week programme of support through our Training and Production teams.
This post is working either DAYS OR NIGHTS
The hours of work and shift patterns are: 4 on 4off
0500 β 1700 OR 1700 β 0500
Β£13.24 during initial 8 week training
Β£14.40 On completion of training + back pay to start date.
+ 10% Night Shift Allowance between 10pm β 6am Β£15.84)
The factory is a modern environment with very good working conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
Once trained our machine minders β
- Carry out machine set up and prestart checks; ensure machine is safe to operate
- Carry out label and film roll changes
- Label print and verification checks, final product quality inspection
- Ensure machine is operating at maximum efficiency and follow Standard Running Conditions set out by the department
- Ensure workplace maintains high standards of GMP and hygiene & Health and Safety
- Support FLM to ensure smooth and safe delivery of production plan and carrying required quality
Other tasks may include setting up and monitoring equipment, filling machines, paperwork, decanting ingredients, using the SAP system.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for people with experience to build upon, learn and progress. As a guide we are interested in the following but we will consider all transferable skills and knowledge:-
Experience within a fast paced manufacturing / production environment
Food production industry
Experience within warehouse, packing, sorting and logistics
Related Machine setter, Operator, Minder experience
