About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Section Leader to join our Poultry Portions Division. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing production activities, leading teams, and ensuring operational targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in delivering daily production plans, driving performance, and maintaining excellent food safety and welfare standards. You will lead by example, supporting and developing your team while ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations within the Poultry Portions Division
- Ensure production plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with customer requirements
- Monitor staffing levels and allocate resources effectively across the section
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, animal welfare, and GMP compliance
- Drive team performance through coaching, training, and regular communication
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including yield, efficiency, quality, and waste
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company standards
Skills & Experience
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing, food production, or FMCG environment
- Experience working in a fast‑paced production setting
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions in a dynamic environment
- Good understanding of production processes, operational efficiency, and performance management
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and GMP standards is desirable
