About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Raw Materials Technologist to support our technical team in a senior-level hybrid role. This position combines hands-on technical work with opportunities to influence raw material management across the supply chain. This is a great opportunity for someone with food manufacturing experience, looking to step into a more strategic and leadership-influenced role.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end management of raw materials, including approval, risk assessments, compliance, and supplier performance monitoring.
* Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with food safety, legal, and quality standards.
* Perform risk assessments (HACCP, TACCP, VACCP) and proactively mitigate threats in the supply chain.
* Maintain raw material specifications, compliance records, and audit outcomes using internal systems.
* Collaborate with Procurement, Technical, and Quality teams to provide technical guidance and drive improvements.
* Support continuous improvement by sharing best practices across sites
Key Skills / Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years\’ experience in a Raw Materials or Technical role within food manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of raw material compliance, traceability, and supplier risk.
* Experience conducting supplier audits and approvals.
* Knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
* Ideally holds a Food Science or related degree.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work across teams and with suppliers.
* Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
