We currently have exciting opportunities for Quality Assurance (QA) to join the team in West Bromwich site D.

The hours of work and shift patterns are: Monday – Friday 14:30 – 22:30

The rates of pay are: £13.72

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct checks within all production areas and externally, working with the QA Manager and adhering to the procedures and requirements, ensuring all checks are completed fully and as per the procedures.
  • Ensure relevant documentation is collected and all checks are completed in full within timescales.
  • Carry out weight checks, temperature checks, CCP checks, stock control, QC Hold control and quality checks for the department at the required frequency.
  • Understand the quality standards for each customer and ensure the product meets the specifications.
  • Check all CCPs on time and action on any non-conformances with the relevant production manager.
  • Identify non-conformances to spec and undertake corrective action, communicate effectively with relevant staff and Shift QA Manager and agree on corrective action.
  • Liaise with production management on the standard of production checks and support production colleagues when required.
  • Metal Detector checks
  • Scale and probe calibrations
  • FFA checks
  • Raw Material Intake checks
  • Water quality checks
  • Monitoring of product quality/process control GMP against specifications and customer requirements
  • Auditing and filing process control sheets.

Must be able to lift heavy loads occasionally.

Ideal Candidate

  • Good standard of spoken & written English which will allow written instructions to be read & effectively communicated
  • Solid level of numeracy – able to calculate & report on performance
  • Self‑motivated and highly resilient
  • A high level of flexibility is required and the ability to problem solve in a fast‑paced environment with sometimes conflicting needs & wants
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Computer literate
  • Good decision‑making skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has at least one year of experience working in a factory environment and possesses proven communication skills, including a good command of both spoken and written English. Testing will be conducted to ensure this. While previous QA experience is desirable, it's not essential, as training will be provided.
