Our Flixton site is a large poultry production facility and one of the area's biggest employers. We have a diverse and multicultural workforce, with colleagues from many different backgrounds working together across the site. The production environment is chilled and can be noisy. All necessary personal protective equipment will be provided, but we recommend wearing suitable layers underneath to remain comfortable.

Depending on business requirements, you may work within areas such as whole bird production, portions, primary processing, packing or other production departments. Full training will be provided for your allocated role.

If the answer is YES, a General Operative position at 2 Sisters Food Group in Flixton could be for you. All new starters will initially join us through our recruitment agency partner, Mach Recruitment, on a four-week temporary-to-permanent arrangement. During your first four weeks, you'll receive full training and support while your suitability for permanent employment is assessed. This will be based on your attendance, conduct and work performance. The expectations will be clearly explained during the recruitment process and at the start of your assignment. Once you've successfully completed the four-week period and met the required standards, you'll transfer to a permanent contract directly with 2 Sisters Food Group.

As a General Operative, you'll work within one of our busy production departments handling and preparing chicken products:

  • Preparing, processing and packing products.
  • Handling raw chicken in a chilled production environment.
  • Following food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Regularly washing and sanitising your hands and equipment.
  • Following all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Working at a consistent pace to meet production targets.
  • Completing quality checks and following standard operating procedures.
  • Keeping your work area clean and tidy.
  • Supporting your colleagues and working as part of a team.

Don't worry if you haven't worked in food production before. Full training will be provided, and you'll be given time and support to learn the role.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production, manufacturing or warehouse work would be useful, but it isn't essential. What matters most to us is:

Additional Information

The standard rate of pay is £13.00 per hour. The PM shift is: Monday to Friday, 16:00-00:10. Any overtime opportunities and applicable premiums will be explained during the recruitment process.
