We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our team, playing a vital role in safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our workforce. You will be responsible for conducting medical assessments for new starters, managing ongoing health issues, and supporting employee wellbeing onsite. Your hands-on approach will ensure our teams remain fit for work while promoting a safe and healthy working environment in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onboarding medicals and ongoing health surveillance to assess fitness for work
- Manage and support colleagues with ongoing ailments and injuries, providing trusted advice and case management
- Respond effectively to a wide range of medical situations
- Advise managers on occupational health matters and recommend appropriate workplace adjustments
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including monitoring environmental factors within factory settings
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of occupational health policies and procedures
About You
We are looking for a qualified Occupational Health Professional. The ideal candidate will be practical with a hands-on approach, which will allow you to connect easily with a diverse workforce in a thriving fast-moving FMCG environment.
Key Skills And Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with Occupational Health qualifications or a minimum of 3 years relevant OH experience
- Training in audiometry, spirometry, and HAVs tier 3 is highly desirable
- Proven ability to apply occupational health knowledge pragmatically across a variety of situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
