About the Role
Our Recipe Dish site in Grimsby, a state-of-the-art CIP plant producing premium quality chilled soups and sauces. The site currently employs around 200 people, whilst turning over 30 million. We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Factory Manager to oversee all production operations during the night shift. As the main point of contact for all functions on shift, you will be responsible for key decision-making. With limited resources and support available at night, your role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and addressing any production issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all production activities on shift
* Act as the main point of contact for all functions on shift
* Make key decisions independently and manage any issues related to the production process
* Challenge and improve processes on the factory floor
* Motivate and manage cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations
* Implement and track KPI improvement plans
About You
You are a proactive and decisive leader with significant experience in factory or production management. You thrive in challenging environments and are comfortable challenging existing processes to drive improvements. Your ability to motivate and manage teams, coupled with excellent communication and influencing skills, makes you an ideal candidate for this role.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Managerial experience in short shelf life chilled food manufacturing
* IOSH and Food Safety qualifications
* Strong people management, leadership, and coaching skills
* Ability to motivate, engage, and develop a team

* Experience in dealing with difficult situations, including conflict resolution
