About the Role

We are looking for a commercially focused Management Accountant to take ownership of the site's management accounts and play a key role in driving financial performance. This is a highly visible role at the heart of the business, responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial information to support effective decision making. You will business partner closely with Commercial, NPD, and Operational teams, supporting forecasting, product costings, and profitability analysis to drive continuous improvement. You will own the site P&L, support balance sheet and cash flow activities, and ensure all reporting is delivered in line with Group requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own weekly and monthly P&L reporting, variance analysis, and management commentary for site and Group submission
  • Provide clear financial insight into sales, margin, and product profitability to support decision making
  • Lead product costings and profitability analysis, working closely with Commercial, NPD, and Operations teams
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning, including sales and margin forecasts
  • Present performance and supporting profit improvement initiatives
  • Provide commercial finance support across promotions, NPD, tenders, and pricing proposals
  • Analyse performance drivers and explain variances to non-financial stakeholders
  • Support capital expenditure appraisal, payback analysis, and post-investment reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and systems
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis and project work to support business objectives

About You

You are a driven and determined finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You combine strong technical accounting skills with commercial insight and the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders constructively. You are comfortable working at pace, have excellent attention to detail, and can translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insight for non-financial colleagues. With a continuous improvement mindset, you actively look for better ways of working and adding value.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified, or qualified
  • Proven management accounting experience, including product costings
  • SAP experience highly desirable
  • Food manufacturing or wider FMCG experience preferred
