About the Role

Our Recipe Dish site in Grimsby is a state-of-the-art CIP plant producing premium quality chilled soups and sauces. The site currently employs around 200 people, whilst turning over £30 million. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we couldn’t do it without our team. It is a team where everyone counts, where we empower you with trust and give you the freedom to deliver.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining site operations by overseeing engineering and maintenance repairs, handling breakdowns, and executing planned and preventative maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Engineering and Maintenance repairs on-site, largely for Production Machinery and some building repairs.
  • Fixing rollers, small gearboxes, and small motors, as well as hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Supporting the team with machinery breakdowns as needed and contributing to some maintenance planning.
  • Ensuring smooth operations across the site as part of a wider maintenance team.

About You

This position is ideal for a candidate with hands-on Mechanical experience, who is looking for a fantastic career opportunity within an industry-leading organisation, widely known for internal opportunities for both technical and career ladder progression. Key Skills/Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering techniques.
  • Time-Served Apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance or relevant discipline, or NVQ level 3 as a minimum with related industry experience.
  • Desirable: Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, or fast-moving production machinery.
