Based at our fast‑paced Added Value site in Thetford, this role leads all inbound and outbound logistics operations across both the main site and a dedicated off‑site warehouse (Site B). As Logistics Manager, you will ensure the safe, efficient and cost‑effective movement of materials and finished goods, playing a critical role in enabling site performance. This is an opportunity to lead a critical site‑wide function within one of the UK's largest food manufacturers, gaining exposure to senior leadership and developing your career in a business that values capability, accountability and progression.
Responsibilities
- Lead all intake, storage and dispatch operations across on‑site and off‑site warehouses.
- Deliver OTIF, productivity, accuracy and service KPIs in a high‑volume FMCG environment.
- Lead, coach and develop a large, multi‑layered logistics team, driving accountability and performance.
- Manage logistics costs, with a strong focus on labour, agency usage, storage and asset utilisation.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and GMP standards.
- Manage relationships with hauliers, third‑party logistics providers and group supply‑chain teams.
- Use SAP and performance data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead problem‑solving and resilience planning to maintain service during change or disruption.
Qualifications
- Proven logistics or supply‑chain leadership experience within FMCG or a similarly fast‑paced operation.
- Strong people leadership experience with layered warehouse teams.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, transport and inventory management.
- Experience working with ERP/WMS systems.
- Commercially strong, with experience managing labour and operating costs.
