Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage hygiene standards across a 24/7 production environment
  • Oversee hygiene operations on both day and night shifts, ensuring consistency and compliance
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve hygiene systems and procedures
  • Create and manage swab programmes and environmental monitoring plans
  • Liaise with laboratory teams and lead investigations where results fall outside acceptable limits
  • Ensure full understanding and application of high-risk and high-care standards
  • Manage and optimise CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems, ensuring effective automated cleaning processes
  • Take ownership of PPE management, including availability, compliance, and maintenance
  • Manage pest control contracts, including routine visits, reporting, and corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to hygiene and food safety

About You

  • Proven experience in a hygiene management role within food manufacturing
  • Experience working in soups, sauces, or liquid-based production environments is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of high-risk and high-care food production environments
  • Hands-on experience with CIP systems and automated cleaning processes
  • Ability to develop and manage hygiene systems independently
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in investigations and root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners
  • Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to support night operations when required
