About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Group Finance team at 2SFG. This role will support the delivery of finance activities across all divisions within the group. This is a junior position, ideal for someone early in their finance career who has started their professional qualification and is keen to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. Soft skills are equally important, and we are looking for someone who is dynamic, hardworking, and eager to learn. We also offer study support, making this an excellent opportunity for an individual to build their finance career while working towards qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Senior Accountant with administrative tasks
- Completing balance sheet KPIs
- Balance sheet reconciliations (full understanding of balance sheet and can resolve issues)
- Month-end duties and supporting the month-end close
- Liaising with other areas of the business to provide finance support
- Stakeholder management
- Support the Group functions with cost reporting and control
- Support the company's annual budget and re-forecast reporting processes
About You
This role will suit someone who is early in their finance career and eager to build hands-on experience within a Group Finance environment. You are dynamic, driven, and ambitious, with a strong work ethic and a positive, proactive attitude. You enjoy working as part of a team but are also comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities and seeing tasks through to completion.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a similar junior finance role
- Currently studying towards AAT, CIMA, or ACCA qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets
- A proactive, driven attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
