Main responsibilities
- You’ll provide essential administrative support to the HR department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Organising and maintaining accurate employee records
- Updating internal HR systems, including sickness, maternity leave and other absences
- Preparing HR documents, including employment contracts and new-starter information
- Supporting the onboarding process for new employees
- Providing payroll with relevant employee information, including absence and working-pattern details
- Responding to employee and manager queries
- Supporting wider HR projects, recruitment events and job fairs
- Completing general administration tasks to support the HR team
About you
We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident communicating with people at all levels. You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an HR administration, administrative assistant or similar role
- Good computer skills, particularly across Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload
- Strong written, telephone and face-to-face communication skills
- A professional approach when handling confidential information
- A willingness to learn and develop within HR
- Previous HR experience would be beneficial, but we would also welcome applications from strong administrators looking to begin or further develop a career in HR.
