Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM-5PM

About the Role

At our Gunstones Bakery site in Dronfield, we produce some of the nation's favourite baked goods, including hot cross buns, brioche rolls, and iced buns, for major retailers. With a rich history dating back to 1862, we pride ourselves on our tradition of quality and innovation, employing around 700 colleagues at our state-of-the-art facility. As Head of Operations, you'll be part of the Senior Leadership Team and report directly into the Site Director. You will be responsible for strategic planning as well as improving day-to-day operations on the shop floor.

  • Oversee end-to-end production operations
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Regulatory Standards
  • Develop and lead on key operational strategies
  • Drive process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Lead and develop operational teams

About You

We are keen to speak to candidates that have led operational teams and have extensive experience within food manufacturing. If you are currently an Operational Leader within the industry looking for a new challenge we'd love to hear from you.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Track record of delivering strategic projects in line with KPIs
  • Proven leadership skills in a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience using lean manufacturing practices
  • Food Safety and HACCP L4; IOSH but NEBOSH is preferred
  • BRC Audit experience; M&S would be advantageous
