This is a fantastic opportunity for a Raw Materials Technologist to join our Recipe Dish site in Grimsby. The site currently turns over £35 million and employs around 250 people, flexing during peak periods. We are the sole supplier of fresh chilled soups and pasta sauces for M&S, and pride ourselves on the highest standard of food production.

In this role you will work within the Raw Materials department to ensure that all database IT systems are updated and in line with customer and site requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Allergens Integrity Controls
  • All Raw Materials onsite
  • Supplier specifications on online system
  • Ad Hoc databases
  • Raw Material and export trace and customer complaint follow‑up with supplier
  • Defect Material Reports (DMR) collation
  • Ad Hoc projects as directed by Raw Materials Manager
  • Cover and support the Raw Material QA at Intake
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures for Health and Safety and Hygiene
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines

Ideal Candidate

  • IT skills
  • Experience in a technical, raw materials or production/intake role within a food environment
  • Intermediate food hygiene an advantage
  • Previous raw material or specification knowledge an advantage
  • Previous audit experience an advantage
  • H&S training
