About the Role

The HR Business Partner at our site is a pivotal senior role within the HR team, reporting directly to the Head of HR. This is a true generalist position, offering the opportunity to play a key role in driving people strategy while remaining close to day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, line managers, and colleagues across the site, you will support business performance through effective HR practices, engagement initiatives, and robust people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a wide range of Employee Relations cases including investigations, appeals, and grievances
  • Lead and drive Absence Management processes - analysing data, identifying trends, and implementing improvements and policy updates
  • Take ownership of colleague engagement initiatives, including organising engagement events and managing the site app
  • Partner with managers across the site to build capability and ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures
  • Build strong, credible relationships across all levels of the organisation, maintaining visibility on the shop floor and within leadership teams

About You

You are a resilient and driven HR professional with strong generalist experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You bring proven expertise in managing Employee Relations cases and have a strong track record in Absence Management, using data and insight to drive improvements and influence change. You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoy tackling challenges head-on, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude. A confident relationship-builder, you are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from the shop floor to senior leadership, and are passionate about improving employee engagement.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong HR Generalist background
  • Experience within manufacturing or a similar environment is essential
  • Proven ability to analyse HR data and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • CIPD Level 5 (or above) is desirable
