The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Team Leader to support our Poultry processing operation on shift.

You will ideally be an experienced, time-served engineer who is strong both mechanically and electrically, enjoys being on the tools, and is ready to take the next step into leadership.

As the senior engineering presence on shift, you’ll take the lead on day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring breakdowns, issues, and risks are reported, escalated, and resolved effectively.

You’ll be comfortable making decisions, thinking on your feet, and setting the standard for engineering best practice and discipline on shift.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Act as the lead engineer on shift, setting standards and direction.
  • Carry out hands-on mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
  • Ensure breakdowns, issues, and risks are reported, escalated, and resolved effectively.
  • Support and guide engineers on shift, providing direction when needed.
  • Maintain engineering discipline, safety, and best practice.
  • Communicate clearly with operations and senior stakeholders.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Time-served, multi-skilled engineer with strong Mechanical & Electrical capability.
  • Strong experience in a manufacturing environment (food preferred).
  • Previous supervisory or acting team leader experience or a Senior Engineer looking to progress into leadership.
  • Comfortable taking ownership and leading by example.
