Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Engineer Supervisor is responsible for leading the night shift engineering team, ensuring all electrical equipment on site is maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with site engineering procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting the electrical maintenance team during the night shift, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Coordinating and overseeing reactive maintenance activities on machinery and plant, providing technical guidance where required.
- Planning and ensuring completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections.
- Leading fault-finding and diagnostics, supporting engineers in interpreting electrical drawings and schematics to resolve equipment failures.
- Promoting and enforcing a strong health and safety culture, ensuring full compliance with 2SFG Health and Safety procedures.
- Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and that all work complies with food manufacturing procedures.
- Prioritising maintenance activities, focusing on critical plant equipment to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
- Communicating effectively with production and engineering management regarding plant performance, issues, and shift handovers.
- Supporting training and development of team members, fostering a proactive and high-performing engineering team.
There are Day and Night roles available. The hours of work and shift patterns are 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off 6pm-6am. The rate of pay is: £1,092 Weekly. Overtime paid 1.5x after weekly completion of 42 hours.
