Job Description

We currently have exciting opportunities for Despatch Deputy FLM to join the team in West Bromwich (site D).

The hours of work and shift patterns are

  • Flexibility in working hours/days is key due to the nature of the role
  • Main Responsibilities
  • Support Despatch FLM’s by monitoring the Despatch team's performance and ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
  • Collaborate with Operations Assistant to maintain the availability and good condition of equipment and supplies.
  • Track and trace orders to maintain order integrity.
  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment and practices in despatch, taking appropriate actions in case of health and safety breaches.
  • Ensure the team's training is kept up to date and that they are equipped with the necessary safety equipment (PPE) as per training requirements.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Assist in formal employment relation matters such as return to work, first line investigations, disciplinaries, and performance management.
  • Manage training schedules and
  • Manage the transport in and out of the site.
  • Provide cover for FLM during holidays or periods of absence.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient dispatch activities, including scheduling, routing, and tracking of deliveries.
  • Right safety equipment (PPE) for the appropriate task and ensure it is used as per training requirements.
