The HR Advisor at our site in Willand, Nr Exeter will play a key role in supporting managers, the HR function and employees by providing expert guidance across a wide range of Human Resources activities. The role focuses on employee relations, policy implementation and ensuring compliance with current employment legislation. To roll out an Engagement plan, and many generalist HR activities. The HR Advisor works closely with stakeholders to promote best practice, maintain a positive workplace culture and contribute to the site's people strategies, working within a friendly, transparent team.
Main Responsibilities:
- To compile, communicate and improve site KPI’s (Absence, Attrition, Turnover etc)
- Performance Management experience including talent mapping and Succession Planning
- Absence Management
- Employee Relations to include Discipline and Grievance Hearings and Engagement initiatives
- Employment Law to provide managers with relevant briefing updates
- Policy and Procedures
- To consolidate information and provide a Senior management report of all data accurately
- To contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting actions
- To continually self-improve in terms of education and experience
- Pay Review preparation
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified CIPD member and/or previous relevant experience is essential
- Trade Union Negotiations desirable but not essential
- Audit skills would be an advantage
- Performance management
- Experience of Discipline and Grievance hearings
- Extensive operational experience working in a busy HR Department within Manufacturing or food processing would be an advantage
- HR software experience would be an advantage
- Understanding of Time and Attendance software
- Experience of HR statistics e.g. Absence calculations, Turnover etc
