As part of our dynamic team at the Coupar Angus site, you will help deliver high-quality poultry products to major retailers. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Learning & Development Manager to lead and deliver training across a large, fast-paced manufacturing site. This is a highly visible role, combining practical training delivery, team leadership, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring all colleagues-from new starters to senior manager\βs are trained, compliant, and developed to meet both current and future business needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver hands-on training across the site, including new starter inductions, food safety and legal compliance (HACCP/TACCP), management and leadership development, and mental health and wellbeing awareness. Lead, coach, and support a team of site trainers Actively support shop-floor training and step in to deliver where required. Oversee forklift and specialist training (slaughter licence awareness β delivery not required). Manage SVQs on site (Level 2 through to management) and apprenticeships. Liaise with colleges, external training providers, and awarding bodies. Source, book, and manage external courses and learning agreements. Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate training records. About You We\βre looking for a confident, hands-on Learning & Development Manager with a blend of training expertise, leadership capability, and exceptional communication skills. This role needs someone who\βs visible, engaging, and action-oriented β someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and makes learning stick by doing, not just designing. Key Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in a hands-on Learning & Development or Training Manager role. Background in manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, or similar environments. Confident delivering training at all levels, including management. Experience managing and developing training teams. Qualification in Learning & Development, Leadership, Management, or CIPD preferred. Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a changing environment.
